Shrimp Chumbo's ingredients are no secret: 49% shrimp meal, 49% crab meal, and about 2% binding agent. This chum seems to work better on snappers and other species that transverse the water column rather than groupers. Don't know why, and by no means is our testing complete, but so far it seems that the snappers really get into this stuff. Also with our surveillance camera, we have watched amberjack circle a basket of Shrimp Chumbo for hours. Maybe good, maybe bad, but for sure when they set up camp around the basket everything else leaves.
Shrimp Chumbo is also in pellet form, is not messy, and does not require refrigeration. To date, we have not done any testing with Shrimp Chumbo inshore. It seems that it would be a good chum for inshore species like permit, pompano, redfish, or trout. When time and weather permit ,we will have more to report to you on the inshore use of this chum.
